Edward

There was a January heatwave on Friday 28, when Edward Barton performed at the Cornerhouse, Manchester, at the launch of the current exhibition, The People You're Not, "a satirical trip through the private and public faces of fame". Norman Clayture, in wooden underpants, preceded him. The Cornerhouse has no effective aircon, hence the temperature rise. Edward put on a characteristically unpredictable show, at one point invading the audience when chatterboxes at the back failed to quieten down. Don't you understand, you have to Listen To Edward? Edward ended up throwing himself through the curtains and down a flight of stairs.. only to re-emerge some seconds later somehow unscathed.
